I’ve been on a Depeche Mode kick. I just love this live version of this song. It’s amazing this concert was a decade ago.

the holidaze

i finally made it down to the Daley Plaza to check out the annual christkindlmarket via a play i was going to see nearby. we had to kill some time before the show started and spotted the big tree from afar. though the tree may not be as impressive as the one in NY but it’s still a big tree here in Chitown.

as for food, i would have loved to try the schnizel or wurst but i couldn’t make myself pay some outrageous price for something that might only be mediocre. so while everyone was sipping Glühwein from a little ceramic boot & noshing on a bratwurst, all i had was a fresh pretzel with a side of mustard.
i saw some nice things. and i also saw some odd things. but of course its nothing like the christkindlmarkets in Germany, but its still nice to get a bit of my Berlin nostalgia for me.

LISTEN: Grimes. its definitely one of my new fav

where is my mind?

keeping busy. checkin’ my list off. adding to the list. scheduling. multi-tasking. revising. is going to be one f**kin’ busy month.

i’ve got another escape plan planned in the near future. details to come or maybe i’ll just recap about it later. we shall see…

believe it or not, i’ve been searching for a cool bird house. i regret not buying the teak ones i had seen when i was in vietnam in ’03. i hate that i didn’t buy it then because i end up regretting it forever. until now. i found one in madison, wi., while window shopping. the odd shape and simplicity just caught my eye. ceramic & wood. the smaller one on the right was different but it was only a $5 difference to the one on the left, so i bought the bigger house. i’m sure the birdies won’t mind a bigger house, right? i didn’t pull mine out of the box for a better picture but let’s just say i can’t wait to hang it out next spring.

in other news: i hate hiring someone new who ends up being a grazer** a majority of the time at a client meeting. and when i got back to my office, i was even more irked when the grazer sends me his invoice for the day. wtf?! never again!
